COMPOSITION:
Each sachet (101) gm contain:
Magnesium Carbonate 90 gm
Sodium carbonate 10 gm
Nux vomica 1 gm
PROPERTIES:
SHAFA – LAX: Laxative and anti-acid.
SHAFA–LAX: Stomachic and intestinal stimulant.
SHAFA – LAX: Detoxicant.
INDICATIONS:
*Impaction due to over-feeding.
*Indigestion , tympanitis , acidosis and inappetance.
*Intoxication due to grazing of poisonous or rotten plants.
*Constipation and atony of the digestive tract.
DOSAGE:
Shake well the mixture before application.
Cattle , Camels , Equines: (1-1.5) sachet (101 gm) per animal , mixed thoroughly with 1-2 liters of drinking water and given orally , as a drench or by stomach tube (for equines)
Calves , sheep , Goats: 40 gm per animal , mixed thoroughly with (0.5-1) liter of drinking water and given orally , as a drench.
Treatment can be repeated if necessary.
Remark:
Shafa – lax should be not be recommended in cases of strychnine poisoning.
